All scuba diving training is carried out by fully insure PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive centres and suitably qualified PADI Professional. PADI is the world leader in scuba diving with training split into 3 parts - PADI eLearning theory, Pool sessions and finally 4 Open Water dives.
Each student gets access to state-of-the-art interactive eLearning materials, which can be completed on any device. The theory part of the course takes approximately 20 hours but because it is modular this can be completed at the students own pace. Students will have their learning checked and verified by a fully qualified PADI instructor prior to progressing to the pool section of the course.
All in-water activities are carried out in compliance with the HSE Diving at Work Regulations (1997) and carried out by fully qualified PADI Instructors and PADI Divemasters at a ratio of 3 students to 1 Instructor. This ensures that students can learn at their own pace and practice the fundamentals of scuba diving in the safe confines of a swimming pool. Students will spend at least 6 hours learning skills.
Once students have learnt the fundamentals of diving it's time to move in to the ocean where they will complete 4 certification dives repeating some of the skills they have learnt under the direct supervision on an Instructor. Once they have completed this they will earn the certification of PADI Open Water Diver which is a lifelong certification and will allow them to dive anywhere in the world with a suitably qualified buddy to a maximum depth of 18m. As part of the trip, students have the opportunity to put their newly found skills to practice by completing 6 more dives, again under the supervision of PADI Professionals.
We have several hotel choices at all of our destinations so you can choose where you would like to stay. All properties will have been inspected in compliance with guidelines set out by the School Travel Forum. This means as trip organisers you can be assured that properties are safe and suitable for your group.
All of our packages are inclusive of flights from a UK airport, and if possible we will endeavour to ensure that they are local to your school. Transport at your destination is also included from the airport to your chosen hotel as well as the return trip. There will also be the opportunity on the last day of your stay to explore the local area taking in some of the cultural sights.
