Here at Scuba EdVentures we believe that organising school trips shouldn’t be difficult, which is why all of our packages are inclusive of everything that you need to offer a successful trip.
Scuba Diving Training
All scuba diving training is carried out by fully insured PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive centres and suitably qualified PADI Professionals. PADI is the world leader in scuba diving, with training split into three parts: PADI eLearning theory, pool sessions and finally four Open Water dives.
PADI eLearning
Each student gets access to state-of-the-art interactive eLearning materials, which can be completed on any device. The theory part of the course takes around 20 hours but, because it’s modular, this can be completed at the student’s own pace. Learning is checked and verified by a fully qualified PADI instructor before progressing to the pool.
Pool Sessions
All in-water activities are carried out in compliance with the HSE Diving at Work Regulations (1997) by fully qualified PADI Instructors and Divemasters, at a ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor. This means students can learn at their own pace and practise the fundamentals of scuba diving in the safe confines of a swimming pool. Students spend at least 6 hours learning skills.
Open Water Dives
Once students have learnt the fundamentals of diving, it’s time to move into the ocean, where they complete 4 certification dives, repeating some of the skills they’ve learnt under the direct supervision of an instructor. This earns the PADI Open Water Diver certification, a lifelong qualification allowing them to dive anywhere in the world with a suitably qualified buddy, to a maximum depth of 18m. Students also get to put their new skills into practice with 6 further dives, again under the supervision of PADI Professionals.
Hotel Choices
We have several hotel choices at all of our destinations so you can choose where you’d like to stay. All properties are inspected in compliance with guidelines set out by the School Travel Forum, so as trip organisers you can be assured that properties are safe and suitable for your group.
Flights and Transfers
All of our packages include flights from a UK airport, local to your school where possible. Transport at your destination is also included, from the airport to your chosen hotel and back again. There’s also the chance on the last day of your stay to explore the local area and take in some of the cultural sights.
